Hi, I'm Damenjo. I've been building software for retail businesses since 2021, mostly ERP, point of sale, e-commerce and loyalty systems. I joined Alturian Group as a junior engineer in 2022, and these days I manage its engineering team of 16 developers.

  • I manage 16 fullstack developers, working through the team leads on each client project.
  • I decide the architecture and technical direction for each team, and set the coding standards we use on current and new projects.
  • I'm also the main technical contact for our clients. I join the requirement discussions, the third-party integration work and the production issues.

Lead Software Engineer

Mar 2024 – Dec 2025
  • Led a team of 4 engineers on ERP, loyalty and integration projects for retail clients.
  • Month-end closing in a client's ERP took about an hour per ledger per date. I profiled the slow queries, added indexes and switched to chunked processing, and it now takes 2 to 5 minutes.
  • Built the integrations with Accurate, Shopee and Grab. Syncing used to take minutes, so I rebuilt it as event-driven sync on Kafka and RabbitMQ. Now it takes seconds.
  • Built a customer loyalty system from scratch and added features to the old voucher system.
  • Reviewed my team's code.

Software Engineer

  • Worked on the core modules of a retail ERP: Finance, Merchandising, HR and Project Management.
  • Built two mobile apps with Ionic: a shuttle app that picks employees up at home and takes them to the office, and an app for the field sales team.

  • Worked on features for supplier and tenant management, point of sale and e-commerce.
